Minimalist

Matěj does things his own way, following the minimalist mantra: “Fewer things, fewer problems.” He usually tackles his climbs in a single push, with minimal gear and barely any food. He enjoys going into the mountains alone, often embarking on solo climbs. A bit of a romantic, he values the peace and quiet of the valleys more than any praise in the media.

Alongside his projects and lectures, Matěj organizes charity fundraisers, donating every last crown to where it's needed most. He consistently supports the Children's Oncology Foundation KRTEK, to which he contributes all proceeds from his talks. You, too, can join Matěj in making a difference!

Why?

Matěj approaches everything with full intensity and won’t settle for mediocrity. Whatever he starts, he finishes – as the saying goes, better, higher, faster. This drive led him to establish his own dental clinic before even reaching thirty. Moments in the mountains provide a crucial balance to his demanding profession and the pressure that comes with it.

Does he create pressure for himself in the mountains too? Of course. But for Matěj, the mountains are where he’s happiest – they’re his natural habitat. He can channel his dedication into remarkable achievements while completely clearing his mind. As he puts it: "Legs full, head empty!"

Matěj has yet another reason for setting himself new and ambitious challenges. His achievements have become a source of great inspiration and motivation for many. At the same time, he’s discovered that his projects can also have a real, positive impact.
